Attendance - Parents
If your child's school is using this feature, then you will be able to submit a reason for your child's absence once they have been marked absent on the roll.
Once they have been marked absent by the class teacher it will then be possible for you to submit a reason for each date they have been marked absent.
You can enter an absence reason from the homepage via the "Attendance Notes" section.
For parents who do not use the Aladdin app, you can now put in reasons for unexplained absences from the Home page of Aladdin when logged in via any browser.
If your child has been absent, has been sent home from school sick, or is returning to school after a school closure, you may have the option to fill out a return to school declaration form.
You will see that a declaration is required but you will not be able to fill it in until after 3pm on the day before your child will return to school.
If your child is marked absent on a Friday, or will return to school after a school closure on a Monday, you will not be able to fill in the declaration until 3pm on Sunday.
The reason you cannot complete the form until 3pm on the day before your child will return to school is to make sure that the declaration is completed in as appropriate a time for your child's return to school as possible.
To complete the Return to School Declaration form, simply tick your child's name, tick the box to declare that you have no reason to believe that your child has an infectious disease etc. and tap Send to send the declaration to the school.
When your child is marked absent, you will see that a Return to School Declaration will be required, however, you cannot fill this in until after 3pm on the day they are marked absent.
This moves to Sunday at 3pm for an absence on a Friday.
